Despite the fact that I run a website, and encourage people to share said website on social media platforms and with their friends, families, and enemies, I personally live under a bit of a digital rock. Though that’s really an understatement – it’s probably a digital boulder – but I couldn’t resist putting in that subtle “bit” pun. Even though I know that engaging on social media is among the best ways for me to continue growing the audience for IGC Publishing, I just haven’t been able to bring myself to do it.
However, in an acknowledgement of the importance of such engagement, I am cautiously pleased to announce that I am now on Goodreads. I honestly have no idea how building a Goodreads network works, but over the next few weeks and months I will be working on adding in reviews of books that I’ve read, and building up a presence there. As part of that effort, please consider finding me over there. I believe that you can find me by following this link.
Like I said, I’m completely new to this, so if you have any recommendations or suggestions, feel free to comment below to let me know things that I probably should have found out ten years ago. Oh, and as for the obvious question, if this means that I will be starting accounts on other social media platforms, like Twitter or Facebook, the answer is: I don’t know. We’ll start with Goodreads, and see what happens. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll finally be dragged into the social media age.
