Hopefully you didn’t think I’d forgotten about Blood Magic. Although work on this series has not been progressing as rapidly as I had originally envisions, mostly because I can’t quite convince myself to dedicate all of my writing time to working on it, at the expense of work on the Fo’Fonas series (and there would be a certain segment of the population most displeased with me if I stopped work on those books, regardless of the quality of Blood Magic), it is progressing. At this point, I think I can say with reasonable confidence that I have stories to tell sufficient to fill at least one season, and hopefully more. My outline for the series is currently at three seasons.
With all of that in mind, I’m targeting a January or February release date for the pilot episode of the Blood Magic series. If you don’t remember what this series is all about, you can head over to the series pages on the website, or read my earlier blog posts about it.
There’s still a lot of work that needs to be done. I’ve made two drafts of the world map, but it still needs refinement: mountain ranges, river systems, political boundaries…you know, the little things. I also have a preliminary symbol for the series, which you can see on the main Blood Magic page. Expect me to start releasing previews for the series in the coming weeks…hopefully they’ll drum up some reader excitement.
Don’t worry: I haven’t forgotten about my (many) other projects. That being said, I’ve trimmed down what is featured on the My Works page to better reflect what I think has a better chance of actually making it to publication. So if Blood Magic doesn’t appeal to you, don’t run off just yet; there will be many other stories that will perhaps be more to your liking.
